We have identified selected schools that we journey with in addressing the issues students face. We partner with individuals and institutions to offer specialized intervention such as life skills, drug abuse intervention and career mentorship. We then have weekly life skill sessions for 12 weeks in each classroom.
To ensure sustainability, we set up Simama Clubs in each school, where they get to be the 'relevant solutions' in their schools. Turudini Mashuleni is an initiative seeking to have alumnis plug in to their former schools to be the solution. We have found that as they do so, they are relevant in addressing drug abuse, bullying, career mentorship and many are setting up funds to support school projects and needy students. The Simama Clubs are run in partnership with the alumnis.
